FAQs
The administrator of a project office must add you as a member for you to be able to see and interact with the project office. You'll receive an email from Project Slicer containing a link; click on that link and then either log in or register to associate your account with the new project office.
Yes, closing a project simply means that you no longer accept feedback on that project.
Anonymous feedback doesn't disappear once you close a project; the project simply stops allowing additional anonymous feedback (or any sort of feedback, for that matter).
It's easy to confuse the two. Variance refers to the divergence between an estimated value and an actual value, whereas health reflects that variance as a divergence from true (100%). So for instance, the variance between 10 estimated hours and 9 actual hours is -1 hour or -10%, whereas health would be 100% shifted by 10% and rendered as a negative, so -90%, which can be read as 90% below true (if it helps, picture a semi-circular dial with 100% in the middle -- positive or negative variance moves the needle a consequent amount to either side).
Check first that the person you've invited has received the invitation; often these are missed because they're in the user's junk mail folder. It's also possible that the user has accidentally deleted the invitation; Project Slicer will only send the invitation so many times to avoid misuse (since it's possible that some recipients might see repeated invitations as spam).
Unfortunately, all subscription payments are final and nonrefundable. If in doubt whether you'll wish to continue using Project Slicer, start with a monthly subscription -- while a bit more expensive than an annual subscription, it allows you to cancel at the end of the month rather than the end of the year.
Check that you're not trying to upload a massive file. A JPG measuring 30x30px is ideal, which should be <50k. Although Project Slicer will hopefully politely refuse to accept larger files, it may instead crash if the file is simply too big to successfully reach the server where it can be measured.
Unfortunately, if you've managed to close your project office without heeding the warnings provided, you're out of luck: there's no way at this time to restore your data.
There are two types of invoices you might receive as a paying subscriber to Project Slicer. The first kind is your monthly or annual subscription fee. The second kind is an upgrade charge for increasing your account level midway through your subscription term; this amount is calculated as the difference between your old and your new account level, prorated over the remaining term.
What an awkward situation for both of us! Please contact us to let us know you'll be paying your outstanding invoice(s), and we'll keep an eye out for your payment. Once we receive it, your project office will be restored.
